NTAMPISHI

Pipe smoking hemp relaxes and calms, stirring the imagination to new depths. The wide pupil and cheeky grin speak to this colourful depth of vision.

NTAMPISHI captures that mellow state of mind through vivid watercolour, where the portrait gradually dissolves into loose, fluid forms. Deep blues and greens meet flashes of orange, red and yellow, suggesting drifting smoke, shifting thoughts and an imagination in motion.

The work sits between portraiture and abstraction, playful and slightly surreal, capturing a moment where relaxation opens the door to another way of seeing.
