Narrative
Liberian Liberianstarted off as an experiment to see how watercolour could sit with inking. My Liberian friend had sent me a picture of her new look; inspiring the best reference. The intricacy of her hair could be best captured in ink, while burnt sienna and umber would wash her skin tone and facial expressions in soft detail. The size of the piece also allowed me to experiment synergies in geometric patterns.
