Narrative
She wants to be inked; permanently different from all her friends. She sips on a mojito while I transfer the sketch onto her thigh. With fat and muscle on the outer thigh, the tattoo gun hardly stings the smile off her face. She hitches her skirt
up. After a few painful stings, it’s just a buzzing sound, as the inking details the lacey strokes across her thigh.
